latest on littler inch

So, 16 weeks starts today. This is what BabyCentre has to say about it:

Your baby’s about the size of an avocado now but in the next three weeks, he’ll go through a tremendous growth spurt —doubling his weight and increasing his length. In the meantime, he’ll be playing with his umbilical cord and practising breathing. You’re going through a bit of a growth spurt yourself. Your uterus has expanded so much that the ligaments in your abdomen are stretching to make room for it. If you feel any twinges of pain now, that’s why.

Of course they don’t say what kind of avocado (and in my experience Brazilian avocados are much larger than California’s Hass avocados), but I’m assuming they mean the California variety. In any case, reading about the “tremendous growth spurt” didn’t exactly make me jump for joy. I’ve already been experiencing a bit of that abdominal pain and I’m not looking forward to more of it. And wearing clothing is just plain annoying now! Almost as annoying as those women who claim to love pregnancy. Seriously, shopping for baby clothes would be a lot more fun if I wasn’t also dealing with constant hunger, thirst, discomfort, and a lack of sleep.
